Keen Property Partners Retail (KPP Retail), the developer of Galeria Victoria entertainment and retail centre in Wałbrzych, has announced that Smyk (EM&F Group) and Tally Weijl have signed contracts for the lease of retail space in the shopping mall.

Smyk, the international chain of stores offering kids wear, toys and accessories, has leased 500 sqm of retail space located on the ground floor of the mall. Tally Weijl, has leased 150 sqm of retail space, and will open its shop on the ground floor of the development. The grand opening of the project is planned for summer 2010.

“We are glad that Smyk and Tally Weijl have decided to join the growing group of well-known Polish and international tenants of Galeria Victoria,” said Richard Keen, Managing Director of Keen Property Partners. “We are in advanced negotiations with several other companies, and will announce more highly-desired Polish and international retail brands for Galeria Victoria in the next few days.”

Galeria Victoria will be the first modern retail, entertainment, residential and hotel complex in Wałbrzych and the surrounding region, bringing the first multiplex cinema (Cinema City), restaurants and coffee shops and many highly-desired Polish and international retail brands to the city for the first time. The two-storey shopping complex will house a Carrefour hypermarket (4,800 sqm) and approximately 180 shops, giving the people of Wałbrzych access to well-known and popular clothing brands, a retail park (over 6,000 sqm), a Media Expert electronics store (approximately 2,500 sqm), and other services located in a retail area of over 43,000 sqm. In the recreation zone (2,300 sqm), the mall’s customers will find a modern Cinema City multiplex cinema with 7 screens and a wide range of restaurants, snack bars and coffee shops. 1,390 underground and ground parking spaces will be created for customers with cars.

CB Richard Ellis is acting as investment and leasing advisor, and are responsible for leasing the mall.
