
Construction on the second phase of Yuzhnaya Gallery Shopping Centre starts

DTZ has announced that Arricano Development, one of the largest development and investment companies on the Ukrainian retail real estate market, has started construction on the second phase of Yuzhnaya Gallery in Simferopol.
The 41,000 sqm GLA Yuzhnaya Gallery (YUG) is situated at 189-191 Kievskaya Street, which is the city’s largest highway heading through the centre to the airport, providing strong visitors traffic from the rest of Crimea and other regions of Ukraine.
At the present moment, the first phase of the shopping centre, totalling 14,000 sqm, is in full operation and comprises of Furshet Hypermarket, furniture discounter JYSK, electronics store Comfy, and a gallery that includes Intertop, Brocard and Yves Rocher and others.
The second phase of 26,500 sqm is planned for commissioning in the first quarter of 2013 and will make YUG one of the first shopping centres that correspond to the highest European retail development standards in the region. Upon completion it will include a gallery of Ukrainian and international fashion brands, a hypermarket, food court, entertainment zones with cinema, as well as parking for 1,169 cars.
