FNF's International Division opens new title insurance company in Europe
Finance

As part of its continuing effort to serve the needs of FNF’s North American customers and tap into the growing title insurance market in Europe, FNF Title International opened its wholly owned European insurance company based in Valletta, Malta last month. The Maltese company is licensed to issue insurance in 11 different Western and Central European countries. Additional jurisdictions will be added in the near future to meet the needs of FNF’s clients.

Additionally, FNF is proud to announce its co-operative venture with Conveyancing Liability Solutions Ltd. (CLS), one of the largest, and the most innovative, of the legal indemnity and title insurance providers in the United Kingdom. Based in London, CLS will partner with FNF International so as to expand the range of insurance products available in the European market. The CLS underwriting team brings knowledge and insight of new jurisdictions: this combines with the experience of FNF’s own direct in-house international underwriters to allow new approaches to cross-border transactions which combine imagination with effective risk mitigation. CLS’s team and FNF’s financial strength together provides unprecedented insuring capability for existing and new customers of FNF and others developing and investing around the world.

This new European venture provides a real opportunity for FNF’s sales force to make their customers aware of the benefits and strength of FNF’s international capabilities as we continue to enhance our portfolio of offerings worldwide. The international division’s history of supporting and working cooperatively with FNF’s commercial operations, combined with these new European capabilities should combine to significantly increase the business opportunities available to FNF commercial operations and their client base. Together with our unique international training and FNF’s financial strength ($2.2 billion in claims reserves and assets exceeding $5 billion), FNF offers unmatched capabilities for its customers investing around the world.
